PriceAmPriceAm (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains what information we collect when you use the PriceAm app and website (priceam.ideat8.com), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored securely as a hash).
- Profile preferences: your city, role (e.g. household, trader), and preferred language.
- Price submissions: prices, products, markets, and optional photos you contribute.
Information collected automatically
- Location: with your permission, your approximate or precise location to show nearby markets and suppliers.
- Device & push tokens: a push-notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver price alerts.
- Usage data: basic, non-identifying information about how you interact with the app to improve it.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide core features: live prices, comparisons, alerts, AI forecasts, supplier discovery, and orders;
- To send price alerts and notifications you have opted into;
- To personalise content to your city and preferences;
- To maintain security, prevent fraud, and detect anomalous or manipulated data;
- To process subscriptions and, where applicable, orders and deliveries;
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
- With service providers who help us operate the app (see Third-Party Services below);
- With suppliers or delivery partners only as needed to fulfil an order you place;
- When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process;
- In aggregated or anonymised form that cannot identify you (e.g. market price trends).
4. Third-Party Services
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications.
- Payment processor — to handle PriceAm Pro subscription payments securely; we do not store full card details.
- App stores (Google Play) — which manage downloads and subscription billing under their own privacy policies.
5. Data Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data as described on our Account Deletion page. Aggregated, anonymised price data may be retained for analytics and historical trends.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Your Rights & Choices
- Access & update: view and edit your profile in the app at any time.
- Location & notifications: control these through your device settings.
- Delete: permanently delete your account and personal data — see Account Deletion.
8. Children's Privacy
PriceAm is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or website. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
